Personal Protection Shoot


      The Personal Protection Shoot is a recreational fun-shoot with money prizes awarded to the top three shooters. The course of fire for the Personal Protection Shoot will remain unannounced until the day of the match. A scoring method will be utilized that balances the score from the targets with the time it takes to shoot them. The targets will be some combination of: NRA B-27, IDPA, Bianchi D1 (Tombstone), Falling Plates, Pepper Poppers, and anything else appropriate. There will be at least two stages of fire to complete at each match.

Things you will need for the match:
A pistol (9mm or larger) or revolver (38 Special or larger).
A holster for your pistol or revolver.1
At least one extra magazine or speed loader.
A magazine or speed loader carrier.
No more than 100 rounds of "full power" ammunition.2
Safety glasses or other suitable eye protection.
Ear muffs, plugs, or other suitable ear protection.
Long sleeved shirts and long pants are recommended.

1Hip, WB, and IWB style holsters only. Shoulder, "small of back", and crossdraw holsters are not permitted.
2The ammunition selected should be full power loads with a minimum power factor (PF) of 125,000.
